For the first time the PDKCAC was a guest at the "Classic Tour". On the eve of the classic car rally, the participants met for an exclusive dinner at the Villa Merton. Michelin starred chef André Großfeld served salmon fillet with cauliflower curry and pink roasted veal fillet with shallot jus, accompanied by Pinot Gris and Negroamaro wines. Early Sunday morning was meeting point at the drive-in cinema Gravenbruch in Neu-Isenburg. Each participant received a full picnic basket with their starting number.Strengthened, we started the race with another 57 classic cars. True to the motto "On the trail of the Odenwald fountain dispute", we went to the fairytale Mittelburg in Neckarsteinach, which was rented especially for the day. Tricky questions had to be answered and rough timeouts had to be avoided. The lunch break with award ceremony and view of the Neckar was sweetened by a minstrel and a "best of" the Nibelungenlied. We were also able to win a prize on the tour and are already looking forward to next year!
Classic car fans took advantage of the late summer and followed the invitation of Zoe Chou, president of the "Pao De Kuai Classic Automobile Club China", and Jutta Princess of Prussia to take the "A Classic Day" drive to the Rheingau. Starting point: The Kurhaus Wiesbaden. The tour continued via Schloss Biebrich and Schloss Johannisberg to the vineyard in the Brömserburg, where winemaker Carl Jung's owners, Bernhard and Vera Jung, provided refreshment with their alcohol-free wines. Now in its 5th generation, the family business lives the passion for non-alcoholic wines and sparkling wines.
